Unique to The Thinking Partnership, RQ is a measurement tool that has been designed to improve the ability to manage relationships productively. Its focus is on measuring relationships rather than personalities.

The results from RQ provide a means of understanding why some relationships work well and some do not; the underlying approach to managing relationships, and how to go about improving them.

RQ results provide a platform to help inform personal development, manager and leadership development, performance management, team building, customer/client relationship management, executive coaching and relationship counselling.

RQ can have a positive influence in areas as far reaching as individual performance, creativity, team productivity, career promotion, employee turnover and stress.

The RQ model was developed in 1999 by The Thinking Partnership director Mark Loftus and has been used to explore over 3,500 relationships. In 2006, based on the data gathered over the previous seven years, the model and its reporting were updated to incorporate user feedback and to make the tool available online.
